During the test, the sample is submerged in water inside a sealed chamber. A vacuum is created, generating a pressure difference between the inside and outside of the package. If there is a leak, air will escape through the weak points, resulting in visible bubbles. Alternatively, the test can also be judged by observing whether the sample expands or returns to its original shape after the vacuum is released. This equipment is suitable for testing the sealing performance of various types of packaging, including bags, bottles, tubes, cans, and boxes, across industries such as food, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and electronics. It meets international standards like GB/T 15171 and ASTM D3078. The device features a vacuum range of 0 to -90 kPa, with three different chamber sizes available. It offers digital preset vacuum levels and retention times, along with automatic pressure compensation technology to maintain consistent testing conditions. The software supports automated unloading and test completion, streamlining the entire process. The testing procedure involved submerging the samples in water, setting the desired vacuum level, and observing for bubble formation. Out of five samples tested, all showed leaks at varying pressures, except one that remained intact even under maximum vacuum (-90 kPa). In conclusion, sealing performance is a key aspect of blister packaging, and the MFY-01 Sealing Tester provides an efficient way to assess and improve it. To address limitations of manual data recording, Labthink has developed the i-Process 6200 system, which automates testing and data management, improving accuracy and traceability.
