As we all know, in order to protect our homes where we depend on, the use of paper packaging materials is more environmentally friendly. However, most of the corner lining materials used by packaging companies are EPS. This is mainly due to the strong load-bearing capacity of EPS materials and is suitable for transporting relatively heavy goods. For lighter goods, corrugated paper can be used. Thus, one ton of corrugated paper is required. Compared to EPS materials, it can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by thousands of tons per year. This small change has taken a big step forward for our environmental protection cause.

The production efficiency is the life of an enterprise. If the working time and labor intensity of each individual worker's packaging single product is reduced, not only the production efficiency is increased, but also the production enthusiasm of the employees is increased. In order to cope with this problem, Ricoh integrated the components of the original packaged product and adopted an integrated packaging design scheme. The company integrated a number of discrete packaging components and designed it into a large-format material. The folding combination can be formed. Such a transformation will save the company thousands of dollars and even tens of thousands of dollars in packaging operations. In addition, the same product of different sizes can also adopt the same design. Only a certain adjustment of the crease position and a little follow-up supplement can reduce the subsequent waste and simplify the process.

In addition to improving efficiency, saving transportation costs is also one of the issues that companies are most concerned about. Taking shipping as an example, the space of each container is limited, and it is the expectation of every enterprise to put the goods to the maximum extent possible, but the number of yards should be scientific. This requires a thorough understanding of the strength and maximum load-bearing capacity of the carton, a reasonable increase in the number of stacks, a space saving for the container, and an increase in the utilization rate. Take Ricoh as an example: Before the improvement, each pallet could only hold 20 packages. After repeated paper tests, it was found that up to 44 packages can be held without damaging the items. This kind of improvement has produced a very obvious effect. With the annual purchase of 20,000 sets of trays, the annual reduction of the company's palletization fee is 37,000 yuan and the transportation cost is 70,000 yuan.

Through the rationalization and improvement of the continuous implementation of packaging, Ricoh Shanghai saved costs of approximately RMB 1.45 million in 2011. In the general environment where industry profits are generally reduced, cost savings are imminent.
