Surface treatment of chromium-free new process

In December 2003, a new chromium-free treatment process was developed by AHC Surface Treatment Technology in Germany. The salt spray tests of the AZ91HP and AM50HP samples treated showed that the corrosion resistance was the same as that of the chromate-treated samples. Suitable for processing various brands of casting, die-casting and rolling magnesium alloys. The conversion film obtained in this process does not contain any harmful substances and is conducive to the final recovery of the workpiece. It is currently the best choice to replace the chromate treatment.
