On the afternoon of the 15th, a tea ceremony was held to celebrate the launch of the "Affinity for Tibetan Tea · Painting Dreams" Tibetan Tea Product Packaging Design Contest. This event was jointly organized by Ya'an Cailong Tea Factory, a member company of the Ya'an South Road Side Tea Chamber, and Sichuan Agricultural University. Twelve teams participated in the competition, showcasing and defending their designs live on stage. After a rigorous evaluation process, six outstanding works were awarded.
To ensure the fairness and transparency of the contest, the judging panel included both professional judges and public judges. The professional panel featured Wang Bo, Chairman of the Ya'an South Road Side Tea Chamber; Secretary-General Huang Chunyu; Ming Yulan; Li Wei, General Manager of Cailong Tea Plant; Director Zhang Deren; and Qi Guinian, a professor from the Tea Academy at Sichuan Agricultural University. Additionally, Wendong Mei, Deputy Director of the Wenxin New Media Bureau, and senior planners such as Li Wei joined the panel. Ten public judges were randomly selected on the spot to ensure an open and impartial evaluation. The judges assessed the live presentations and the contestants' responses to questions, ultimately selecting the best entries.
The winning design, titled "Hou De Ren Ai," stood out for its creative integration of cultural elements and brand identity. According to Huang Chunxi, one of the organizers, this collaboration between academia and industry required participants to deeply understand the unique characteristics of Tibetan tea while incorporating the cultural essence and brand values of the companies involved. Through this process, students gained a deeper insight into Ya'an's rich tea heritage, while companies benefited from fresh perspectives and innovative ideas in product packaging design. This initiative not only promotes the development of Tibetan tea culture but also helps enterprises create more culturally relevant and market-friendly packaging solutions for the future.
