An analytical method for directly measuring the main wear metal elements in lubricating oil by ICP-AES is proposed. The working conditions of the instrument were optimized. Conostan S21 and Conostan 75 oil-based standards prepared with multi-element oil-based stock solutions were used to prepare calibration curves. The oil samples were diluted 5 times with kerosene to determine the main wear metal elements in the lubricant , The relative standard deviation RSD% of each element is less than 1%
