It is reported that the Department of Orthopaedics of a hospital in Zhaoqing City admitted a patient with multiple fractures of the pelvis, upper limbs and lower extremities in April this year. The patient was a 40-year-old migrant worker who fell from a height because of an accidental operation. After the rescue, the vital signs are stable, but surgery is needed to treat the fractures in time. According to the traditional surgical procedure, the operation and anesthesia are long and the bleeding is excessive, which will cause great trauma to the patient, and the operation is difficult, and the doctor puts forward higher technical requirements. The team of orthopedic surgeons in a hospital in Zhaoqing City used the preoperative CT scan data to understand the patient's approximate fractures and used the 3D printing technique to create a patient's pelvic and limb fracture model. The fracture model simulates the actual situation of the fracture site according to the size of 1:1, which more intuitively reflects the fracture of the patient. The orthopedic experts use the 3D fracture model to repeatedly simulate various feasible surgical plans.
