1. Common character classes

Chinese characters, foreign letters, numbers, symbols, etc. are stored and processed by multiple internal codes. According to national standards, there are currently two commonly used characters, ie, GB2312-80 contains 6,763 Chinese characters and 682 symbols; GBK (Internal Code Extended Standard) encodes 21003 Chinese characters and 1,038 symbols. 2. Fonts complement type

For characters that are not in the front and back end fonts, under the premise of guaranteeing the character quality, only by using special writing software (such as the Founder Nuwa supplement word system) to make the code, the word-form file is generated according to the code, Called when the backend is output. This method is basically the same as the storage principle and calling method of the computer standard font library. The common problem of using this method to make up the word is the difference between the glyph description method (vector and curve words) and the back-end output error caused by the different font bases. Using the font base standard of the font library, different versions of the font-building software are also different from each other. Commonly there are 484, 512, 1000 and 1024, and the font-based configuration of each font is also different. When the font base configuration used by the font and the back-end RIP type are inconsistent, the output character size differs greatly from the characters in the normal font base. The character baseline and the placeholder are basically the same, but the character's actual height, width and punctuation are similar, so the The RIP output configuration file and the front end must be the same. 3. Modifier class

4. Image class

The storage of images in a computer generally has two formats of vector graphics and dot matrix graphics. Prepress generally uses a dot matrix format. This type of file is characterized by rich colors, descriptive images, easy to hang the net output component version; the disadvantage is that the file is large, takes up a lot of storage space, and the size of the file The accuracy increases in geometric progression. In order to ensure the printing quality, the image accuracy is selected to be 300 dpi (1.5 to 2 times the print output mesh size of 120 to 175 lines/inch). Due to the limitation of the printing accuracy, the precision is too high and it is unfavorable for the output of the rear end. Too low accuracy will cause the image contour to be blurred and the gradation is not clear.

When selecting the storage file type, it is generally saved as a TIFF format. This format is characterized by good file reproducibility and no distortion. Generally do not save as JPG format, JPG format is a file compression format, although the file is short, but it is a kind of compression ratio obtained by reducing the image quality. The use of TIFF files, although relatively large, but through the use of WINZIP and WINRAR compression tools such as compression, generally can achieve JPG compression, and lossless compression. When outputting a PS (EPS) file, depending on the page production system, the picture may be included in the file or saved separately.
