Styrofoam efficient recycling method

One of the main components of foam plastic tableware is a polymer compound polystyrene. After being abandoned, the polymer is difficult to degrade into substances that the natural world can absorb and transform. A disposable foam plastic tableware degrades under natural conditions of normal temperature and humidity, and it takes about 200 years.

Even if partial degradation can be achieved, the degraded residuals of up to 1 cm in size still pose great hazards to plants and soil after entering the soil. First, waste plastic products mixed in the soil will impede the absorption of nutrients and moisture by the crops, resulting in the reduction of crop production; Second, the swallowing of waste plastic products by animals will lead to its death; plastic products again difficult to handle. If it is landfilled, it will occupy the land and it will not degrade for a long time. If these white wastes are burned, they will also produce a large amount of harmful gases such as dioxins, which will seriously pollute the atmosphere.

Green highly efficient recycled polystyrene foam, it is in many organic solvents, after numerous experiments and ratios, analysis and comparison, practice and testing, finally found a molecular structure resembles styrene, and can dissolve a large number of poly This is the best and most suitable solvent for styrene foams. The solvent can dissolve the polystyrene foam plastic in a volume ratio of 1:50 times or more, and the obtained solution is non-toxic, has a faint fruit fragrance and is not easy to burn. Above 220° C., the solvent is completely volatilized.

Using this solvent, the dissolved resin solution was placed in an autoclave and heated to remove the solvent. The solvent is recovered to produce polystyrene; or the solvent is removed by spray drying and the solvent is recovered to obtain powdery polystyrene. This means that the very difficult "white pollution" problem has become easy to solve. Compared to conventional recycling methods, recycling only one item of freight saves more than 50 times. Specific implementation of production methods and process flow:

(1) Styrofoam is put into the mixer at the site, and the solvent is added and dissolved by stirring. After it is fully dissolved, it is filled in a resin barrel and shipped back to the factory.

(2) In a vacuum drying spray chamber, the resin in the resin barrel is pressurized and sprayed to obtain powdery polystyrene, and the filling is screened. At the same time, the solvent is recovered by a vacuum compression system and filled in a solvent drum.

(3) Add the dissolved resin in a sealed heating kettle and heat it to obtain polystyrene. Use a vacuum compression system to recover the solvent, granulate polystyrene through the Mastic Granulation System, and fill the bag.
