In China, the analytical instruments and equipment represented by mass spectrometers have always had the problem of insufficient core technology, and the domestic mass spectrometer market has been monopolized by foreign companies. Starting from the "Tenth Five-Year Plan", China has set up related topics in the science and technology plan. This portable mass spectrometer is the result of the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" technology support plan and "innovative methods". Based on the achievements of the research and development of "mass spectrometry instruments" during the "Tenth Five-Year Plan", the research team successfully achieved a series of innovative scientific and technological achievements through two teams with different technical advantages and characteristics. The key components of the portable mass spectrometer are independently researched and designed by the research team. The key components and the technical level of the whole machine are equivalent to similar foreign instruments. Experts believe that the core components of the portable mass spectrometer, the ion source and the mass analyzer, have independent intellectual property rights and obvious innovation: the instrument has a second-level mass spectrometry (MS / MS) tandem analysis capability, small size, and low power consumption; In addition, the instrument has the ability to directly analyze gas, liquid, and solid samples, enabling fast, in-situ analysis. Academician Zhang Yukui of Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences said that the successful development of portable mass spectrometer will promote the development of China's mass spectrometer industry, and will also provide an advanced, on-site and rapid detection method for related fields.
