The recent Chengdu Creative Design Week captured global attention, drawing a total of 112,000 visitors from around the world, including 14,000 professionals and 98,000 general attendees. International visitors came from countries such as Italy, Australia, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Canada, the Netherlands, and Germany, all expressing admiration for Chengdu's creative spirit and innovative designs.

A Platform for Exchange and Collaboration

The event served as a major platform for cultural and creative industries to connect with other sectors. It generated a total turnover of 480 million yuan, with 45 million yuan in on-site transactions and 435 million yuan in strategic investment. One standout example was the magnetic levitation air conditioner, which attracted over 40 design and development projects from more than 30 domestic and international companies, venture capital firms, and individuals.

Interactive Experiences and Family Engagement

Throughout the four-day event, the exhibition featured a wide range of interactive experiences, such as the “Creative Seeds” game, 4D cinema, giant panda painting, sea porcelain plain painting, 3D fitting, and the Panda Post Office. These activities not only engaged visitors but also encouraged family participation, making it a popular destination for parents and children alike. Many families arrived early in the morning and stayed until the exhibition closed.

Expanding Industry Horizons

Beyond just showcasing products, the exhibition covered multiple creative fields, including creative agriculture, home design, smart appliances, space design, art derivatives, youth design competitions, and animation and gaming exhibitions. The Chengdu Youth Creative Design Competition received numerous inquiries for collaborative projects, particularly for tourism-related products infused with Sichuan culture and innovative industrial designs like the magnetic levitation air conditioner.

Animation and Gaming Take Center Stage

As one of China’s "Anime Fourth Cities," Chengdu proved its strength in the animation and gaming sector. The exhibition's game experience hall and animation pavilion were highly praised by young audiences. According to the organizers, the animation and gaming section attracted 50,000 visitors over three days, featuring more than 150 international and domestic game and animation companies, as well as 120 comic associations. A total of 40 million yuan in transactions were made, with 16 strategic cooperation projects valued at nearly 400 million yuan. Industry leaders noted that the presence of global animation giants and high visitor turnout reaffirmed Chengdu’s growing influence in this field.

This year’s Chengdu Creative Design Week not only highlighted the city’s creative achievements but also demonstrated its potential as a global hub for innovation and collaboration.
