A lot of friends who do graphic design asked me to use the correct method when designing, but they always make mistakes at the end. Some errors are too hard to find the reason. In fact, the root cause of these problems is still in production. Since these problems are commonplace, it is very difficult for us to easily overlook them. Therefore, once an error occurs, it will be difficult for us to find out that the problem lies at all. To sum up, it can be divided into ten error-prone areas, dedicated to those who are struggling in the design and production of the first line and will soon go to the front line of friends.
First, the RGB image does not transfer CMYK Consequences: Most of the software (FreeHand, Pagemaker, etc.) will not separate the RGB image. If the RGB image is misused, the color separation film that comes out of the image will only have the image on the black version. Others Part of the color image is empty, or there are equivalent grayscales on the four color plates. Solution: If your scanner supports direct-scan CYMK, it is best to scan directly into a four-color file; if you can only get RGB, then you must not forget to convert RGB to CYMK before outputting. Tip: From the file name or It is difficult to see whether it is RGB or CYMK on the file icon. It is too much trouble to open them one by one. For TIFF images, you can make judgments by observing the preview color of images from layout or imposition software: CYMK's TIFF image preview is more vivid and unnatural, and RGB is a more natural color. As for the EPS chart, it is difficult to distinguish from the preview, and one can only check one by one without worrying.
Second, the FreeHand font with Heavy (emphasis), PageMaker font with Bold (bold) consequences: If the FreeHand Chinese font used Heavy, most cases will be paste; In PageMaker Chinese font used Bold , it will be a toothed overlap, and the same effect will occur in other FontMaker fonts. Solution: Try to avoid using the above effect. If the font needs to be bold, the corresponding bold Chinese characters should be used, such as selecting the bold typeface or bold typeface. In fact there is no corresponding bold type, you can use Freeland Stroke in FreeHand, but there is an empirical formula that the added word edge can not exceed 3% of the size of the original font size. If the font itself is bold, the proportion should be smaller.
Third, the FreeHand used wrong FillandStroke (filled pre-edge) consequences: the use of FillandStroke can make bold fonts, you can also make words have different colors of the word edge. However, improper use can result in stencils, or the edges are too thick, and the colors of the characters themselves are crushed. Solution: The word edge cannot exceed 3% of the size of the original font size.
Fourth, there are gray nets after black imprint: After telling the output center black version to imprint, it needs to pay attention to whether there is gray net in the file. Because if there is a gray net, objects under the grey net will pass through. Other imprints specified in the document should also be noted because the current version of the software does not see which objects were imprinted. Solution: Be careful when you work, never fall into a trap. Tip: When defining grey, add 1% yellow!
V. Misuse of EPS with network consequences: 175 lines of output, but some graph lines are not correct. Solution: Be careful not to choose to include screening information when saving images in EPS format. At the same time, other options must be noted. In some cases, special functions can be implemented by using the functions of the EPS network, such as the line network effect or intentionally using different network lines in the same layout to achieve special effects. Tip: The image is stored in the EPS color separation format, which can greatly increase the output speed.
Six, the wrong result of DCS format:
1, black and white prints have a map, but the output does not have a map
2, the color printing black and white map
3, color printing, although the color map, but it is rough. Solution: The reason for the 1 is that there is only the main file but no separation file at the time of output: 2 The reason is that the main file only contains the grayscale image of the low resolution: The reason for the 3 is that the main file contains a low resolution color map.
VII. Misuse of JPEG compression format Consequences: There is an image on the screen and the output is missing. Solution: In PHOTOSHOP, store TIFF or EPS format again and return to PAGEMAKER to re-link.
Eight, the big picture is reduced to thumbnails and paragraphs use spaces, and tables use spaces. Consequences: After looking at the output of the text or the form on the screen, it will not be abandoned. Solution: Zooming graphics is very convenient in typesetting software, but the cost is multiple or several times the output time, so be sure to set the size and resolution in the image processing software (PHOTOSHOP), and then put the typesetting software; and form With PAGEMAKER or QuarkXPree, these softwares have very good indentation and positioning capabilities, and can make professional and neat forms. As for paragraph headers, they should be set in a row.
Nine, without English fonts. Consequences: The output font is replaced by the system font. Go back and try again. Solution: The English font used by the computer now exceeds 10,000, so don't expect the output center to have English characters that you use. So call and output center to confirm, if there is no output center, then you have to bring fonts to the output center.
X. Misuse of “PATTERNâ€. Consequences: There is a pattern fill in FREEHAND that can fill a regular pattern with a pattern. This type of pattern is latticed, and the LEVEIIRIP's imagesetters that were previously equipped do not support this filled output, and LEVEIIII's imagesetter can output them. But one thing to note is that you can't set colors outside the field for it. If you try to set a light color of c10%y10%, although it is displayed on the screen, the output must be cy 100% dark green.
